Dinnington St John’s Town Council is proud to continue supporting local community organisations through its community grant scheme. In recent weeks, the Council has awarded funding to three valued groups who are making a real difference within our parish:
🎖️ Royal British Legion – Dinnington & District Branch
The Council awarded £1,020 to the Royal British Legion – Dinnington & District Branch to support their ongoing work in the community. The Council recognises the vital role the RBL plays in providing support to veterans and promoting remembrance, and was pleased to fund their recent application in full, in recognition of their contributions.
🌱 Community Education Adults Disabilities (CEAD)
A grant of £500 was awarded to CEAD to help fund their upcoming group trip. CEAD provides inclusive education and enrichment for adults with disabilities, and the Council was pleased to offer support above their original request in recognition of the excellent work they do in the local area.
✈️ 1325 Dinnington Squadron Air Training Corps
The Council awarded £807.09 to the 1325 Dinnington Squadron Air Training Corps to purchase three resuscitation manikins for use in their first aid training programme. This funding will help equip young cadets with essential life-saving skills, benefitting both the individuals and the wider community.
These grants are part of the Council’s commitment to community wellbeing, inclusion, and youth development throughout Dinnington.
The Council operates a small community grant fund throughout the year and welcomes applications from local groups and organisations working to make a positive impact in the town.
